It's an interesting piece of racing history, formerly owned by Earl Baltes (who sold Eldora to Tony Stewart). In it's early days, Parnelli Jones, AJ Foyt and Mario Andretti raced there.

Mauri Rose, the 3-time Indy 500 winner, once started a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! there after teams and drivers refused to take the grid for a race (he was a spectator at the time). He apparently also attempted to burn the bleachers.
